Immigrations rules
A tourist visa is granted for all nationalities on arrival to the Maldives. As such, a foreigner traveling to Maldives as a tourist does not require pre-approval for the visa. However, the person must satisfy the basic entry requirements to get immigration clearance upon arrival.
The basic entry requirements are as follows;
A passport or a travel document with Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) with at least 1 months validity. (Passengers with an extended validity in their passports are not allowed to enter.)
A complete travel itinerary including return journey confirmed tickets, with a prepaid confirmed hotel booking at a registered hotel, or provide proof of financial means for sufficient funds to support the stay in Maldives, or hold a pre-approved visa sponsorship Maldives Immigration.
Entry requirements to their onward destinations; for example, the visa and passport validity.
Traveller Declaration must be filled in and submitted by all travelers travelling to and from Maldives, within 96 hours to the flight time. The form has to be submitted electronically via IMUGA.

Pork or pork products
Pornographic materials
Firearm
Explosive dangerous objects
Narcotic and psychotropic drugs
Equipment for underwater hunting

COVID-19 Travel Advisory
There are no COVID-19 restrictions in place for travel to Maldives. There is no requirement to present certificates of vaccination/testing for COVID-19.
Passengers must complete a Traveller Declaration Form within 96 hours of both their arrival and their departure flights.
If you are in Maldives, you should monitor developments regularly, consult the management of your resort/hotel and follow the advice of local authorities. If you develop COVID-19 while in Maldives, you may be required to quarantine at your resort hotel or at a government facility, and you may be liable for the considerable additional costs that arise as a result. It is important to check with your travel insurance provider on coverage before travel.
Entry regulations and COVID-19 restrictions may change at short notice, you are strongly encouraged to monitor official government sources and local media.

Important Notes
– All arriving and departing passengers via airports and seaports are required to complete the Traveler Health Declaration form within 96 hours to the flight time.
– PCR result is not mandatory from any passenger during arrival and departure. This applies to unvaccinated travelers as well.
– Note that Resorts, Airline Companies or next Country of Destination may have a different policy regarding PCR Test, it is better to reconfirm before travelling.
